Current weather at the Lodge

In the summer months, daytime temperatures range between 65-85 degrees Fahrenheit.  Mornings & evenings can be cool & refreshing, between 45-65 degrees Fahrenheit.  For the greatest comfort, layer your clothing so jackets and sweaters can be removed as daytime temperatures rise or when fishing in protected bays where temperatures are warmer than on the open lake.

PACKING

An important & helpful tip in packing for your upcoming trip to Gunisao Lake:  Pack a small overnight bag for your overnight stay in Winnipeg.  This will allow us to take the bulk of your luggage and equipment to our chartered aircraft that evening, prior to departure.  This will save time and confusion in the morning.  Please remember your weight is restricted to 50 lbs. per person.  Any additional weight will be charged $2.00 US per pound, providing space is available.

What to Bring

• Proof of Citizenship (Passport or Birth Certificate)
• Good Quality Rain Gear
• Spring/Fall Jacket
• Warm Clothing - hats, gloves & boots (May to early June)
• Polarized Sunglasses
• Good Sun Block
• Camera & extra film.

• Coolers for each boat
• Certified life vests
• Fishing electronics

A TYPICAL DAY AT GUNISAO LAKE

**Guided night fishing allowed, hourly tip required for guide = $15.00 US (simply make arrangements with your guide during that day).  We require that all boats return to the lodge at dark.  (Provincial law & safety)

CORNER BAR & LOUNGE - A "Well Stocked" cash bar with daily drink specials.  Cold pop, beer & mixes.  Wine available by the glass or bottle.  Fresh popcorn daily!  A fine line of Cuban cigars.  Special requests honored with advance notice.  Enjoy your favorite beverages & snack in the lounge area next to the fireplace overlooking beautiful Gunisao Lake.
